I agree! Fox. Has ruined the great thing the had going by getting rid of all their good employees! I used go be a dedicated fox watcher rarely watching any other channel and now I never watch fox11! Its all about ktla which cooinsidently hired Jillian. Gook luck with your new show Jillian!

I do have a JP Morgan Chase story to tell you, but it's when the banking house was called Chase Manhattan Bank under Chairman David Rockefeller.

Rocky and I got to see each other when I worked at computerizing trust securities portfolios as commanded on high from Chairman David Rockefeller and the Chase Manhattan board of directors.

My supervisor Stanley Zienick yells out, "Hey, Emzy did you see Rocky!" I shout back, "Don't bother me! I'm working!"

Chase Manhattan Bank Chairman David Rockefeller heard the conversation as he went on his way down a hallway.

How does this true Rockefeller story from out of the hall of the Chase Manhattan Bank Trust Deprtment make you Steven Rosenberg?

Doug Brown, the developer of the once successful Glendale Market Place in Glendale, California, now lives in Boulder, Colorado while he still works out of his real estate development firm, once headquartered in Beverly Hills, now in West Los Angeles. Doug Brown has had a place in Aspen, Colorado for many years that's how we ran into each other again after so many years. He flies in and out of LA and Colorado weekly. His company developed Lot "D" in the Golden Triangle of Beverly HIlls, California.

When they took out the Coffee Bean from Ralphs, a Ralphs manager said Starbucks is coming in BECAUSE the strip mall one was closing. Not sure if it's true, but either a Coffee Bean or an In-N-Out would be most welcome (though it's not big enough for an In-N-Out). Would love another eating option or Coffee Bean! Chase and Coffee Bean, are you listening???

I thought the same as Keith regarding the windows and decided to check it out. The coming soon on Chase's website confirms the address is 5555 Van Nuys Blvd. Google maps shows that address being closer to the corner of Killion and Van Nuys, so there's still hope that I can fatten up at some good grub place :)

Folks I'm sorry to say, but yes, it is yet ANOTHER Chase Bank branch. We'd been trying to figure it out since it seemed like there were a lot of windows (not typical for banks of old). But the Chase website CONFIRMED it. It's listed as 5555 Van Nuys Blvd and Coming Soon.

What is this with Chase? World domination at the cellular level? They seem to be popping up every friggin mile in each direction!!!!

It could very well be an In-n-Out as well since the pitched roof design is applicable. If 2 Palms are planted as an X it will be the winner!

I love living in this area. I live in Valley Glen and work in Van Nuys. I walk to this Starbucks every day. Another coffee shop would be great. There is certainly enough foot traffic to support two. People here participate in their neighborhood. Moving to the Valley is the best thing I've done since moving to LA over seven years ago. Keep up the great reporting and community dialog!

I really hope it's Coffee Bean. I live a few blocks from that corner and was really bummed when they got rid of the Coffee Bean inside Ralph's.

I had some hope that the SW corner building might be something modern. Then they added that pitched roof "hat" to the top. But at least it steps up to the sidewalk and takes its place along the street, unlike the new CVS set back 30 feet behind cars and asphalt.

That's really disgusting. Marie Callendar's on Riverside Drive in Toluca Lake closed, and while we were hoping for something good to replace the property..guess what it is? A Chase Bank...geez.

I say a Coffee Bean, typical architecture for Chase is a very curved front entry while Coffee Bean has a pitched roof entry.

Chipolte migrating to Van Nuys?!

I am still surprised this Denver restaurant chain is in Los Angeles. There is one in Northridge on Reseda.

Even in Denver I find Chipolte disappointing. Always I can't wait to get back to L.A. for a real burrito, just can't find a decent burrito in Colorado.

I prefer burritos made and cooked in areas like Sun Valley.

In Aspen, Colorado the burritos suck, too!!! Chipolte, sucks, too!!!

If you read the "Westword" newspaper in Denver, you'd find out the real story on Quiznos another Denver restaurant chain.

Aspen and Colorado restaurants and food eateries don't like the idea of public posting of their health inspection ratings, so a hungry gal or a hungry dude
better watch out in Aspen and Colorado. I try to get them to do the right thing and follow in Los Angeles County and its 88 cities footsteps, but they don't the idea concerning upfront public health safety.

Steve, sorry I haven't read your blog in a while.

I expect to get out of Aspen soon.
